You Are The Weapon

This theme can be expressed in a number of different ways. Maybe you are cursed and become a weapon that other characters have to wield. Maybe you're an integrated organism that pilots a world destroying gun. Maybe you're Doom Guy. He's basically just a weapon, let's be real. Or even taking it a different direction maybe you're a weapon that kills things like viruses and saves people.

Theme Interpretation (You Are The Weapon)

We wanted to twist the theme a bit and make Henry a living weapon, having no literal weapons held by anyone but enemies.

The concept behind our game is “Just because others might think you are weak, or ill equipped, doesn't mean you can’t be a weapon for good.”. We went fairly heavy handed with the analogue. In real life - his virus is what makes him such a weapon for awareness/media saturation, His wardance clip for example highlighted issues with domesticated ferrets that I had only learned about while researching for this project - his virus literally turns him into a weapon to rescue other ferrets that he brings back to shae for care.

Honestly, I really liked the idea of Henry having a spectacular life that saved his fellow ferrets, and in some ways he has that. I'm just turning that into a playable analogue.

Player Experience

You will play as Agent “Henry”. Henry was injected by an early version of the FoxBot Serum ~ a virus designed by Foxes to cripple ferrets and make them easier prey. Instead, the serum inoculates him, and allows him to take additional serum vials to temporarily enhance his abilities.

Henry is now the Secret weapon of MI7 (Mustelidae Intelligence 7), deep undercover as a disabled ferret at the “Snail’s House”. His Handler, Shae, is the only one who knows his true identity. During the game, Henry is sent on missions to Intercept FoxBot Operations and invade Foxbot Bases. His goal: rescue captured ferrets being infected by the virus the foxbots attempted to give him.

You will use Platform + Shooter mechanics to speed around the map defeating foxbots and gathering decryptors to rescue and release captured ferrets. Along the way, you can upgrade Henry with the very virus samples that the foxbots attempted to cripple him with.

Race and battle around as many maps as possible before Shae warps you back to the med bay so you can rest and fight another day.
